Ancestry Aid

Written by Nikki-ann on Tuesday, 1 January , 2008 at 4:43 pm

The Ancestry Aid website has just been relaunched!

If you haven’t heard of Ancestry Aid then you’re missing out. It’s a genealogy community that is free to use and has a wonderful community. Everyone is friendly and willing to help others break down those genealogy brick walls. It is geared towards those researching their British family history, but has members from all corners of the world. I have been a member for some time now and recommend anyone who’s interested in genealogy and family history to come and have a look around.

I look forward to seeing you there!

I have been doing this for a few years. It’s been fun to put the pieces together.

happy new year!

sounds like an interesting site. I know my dad has been trying to put together our family tree, but the problem is there were step parents and some crazy things going on, missing children in census data, just a couple generations back and well, makes things a bit difficult to trace, lol.
I do know my last name is german-jewish, but somehow our family is polish-catholic, *shrugs*

Hmmm…I may just be tempted to give this a go. The recent loss of my last grandparent has kind of spurred things in my mind with regard the old family tree, so far only my father’s side of the family has been looked at in any detail; I’d like to have a go at looking at my mum’s side, and this may be a good place to start…although unfortunatley my mum’s maiden name is possibly the most common on the planet!! “SMITH” ….sigh?!
